Supported Across Alaska
Endorsements
Supported by Teachers, First Responders, and Local Unions
AFL-CIO
I am proud to have the endorsement of the AFL-CIO, an organization that has long supported working families across Alaska, including those in District 1. In Southeast Alaska, our economy is built on the hard work of those in fisheries, construction, maritime industries, and public services.
With the AFL-CIO's support, I will continue fighting for fair wages, strong labor protections, and job opportunities that benefit our local communities.
NEA-Alaska
I’m honored to have the endorsement of NEA-Alaska, an organization that represents the dedicated teachers, support staff, and public educators who inspire and guide our students. In District 1, our schools are at the heart of our communities, and the success of our students depends on the commitment and passion of our educators.
I will continue to advocate for increased school funding, expanded vocational classes, and access to quality retirement plans. Together, we can build a stronger future for Alaska's students and educators.
Alaska Public Employees Association (APEA) - Alaska Federation of Teachers (AFT)
In District 1, our teachers and public workers ensure that our students receive a high-quality education and that essential public services continue to meet the needs of residents.
I am committed to working alongside APEA-AFT to prioritize education funding, improve retirmenet benefits, and support the professionals who make Alaska's future brighter for the next generation.
The Alaska Center
Fisheries are vital to our communities in District 1. We need to do everything we can to support our fishermen. High cost, the lowest fish prices in decades, coupled with processor consolidation means we are at risk of losing an entire generation of fisherman.
We need to fully fund the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute so they can develop national and international markets for Alaskan seafood, have Alaska Housing Finance Corporation step in and transition our fisherman off high interest loans, and ensure that Alaskans are being placed first-not out of state trawlers.
